Dan Brown is the President and Principal Auditor at DB Performance Solutions, LLC. He is a quality professional with nearly 40 years of experience in a variety of industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, warehousing & distribution, metal fabrication, and machinery rebuilding/repair.  He has held a variety of positions, from Technician to Owner.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Aurora University and a Certificate in Quality Management in Manufacturing from DePaul University.  He has completed the ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, and AS9100D Lead Assessor Certification Workshops from Stat-A-Matrix Institute, AQS, & QMII.  Additionally qualified as a Lead Auditor for EU MDR (training by Axeon) and ISO 15378 (training by Quality System Compliance, LLC). He is presently accredited by Exemplar Global as a Principal Quality Systems Auditor for both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 and an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor since 1989.

As a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 1988 and a Senior Member of ASQ since 1993, Dan has held numerous positions on the Board for the Chicago Section, ASQ.  He was also an Instructor for the Quality Control Training Institute of the ASQ Chicago Section 1201 and a member of Working Group 1 of the Technical Advisory Committee to TC 210 (the ISO committee responsible for publishing the ISO 13485 standard).  He is also a past chair of the Northern Illinois Quality Conference and the ASQ Innovate for Excellence Summit Chicago.
